So I force quit the app and went back in. Seven hours later? Still stuck at “upgrading”. Maybe that is the problem? So I turned them on via the physical button on the plug and went to bed. The plugs were recognized and listed in the app as “upgrading” but were not physically turned on. I actually had the WeMo app recognizing my smart (?) plugs correctly AND had them working in HomeKit, after much frustration and pulling of remaining hair.Īnd then, because the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results, I pushed the button to start the new firmware update.
